The Success Story of the Global Public Health Conference 2018
The Global Public Health conference was successfully held from 06th and 07th February, 2018 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Conference was organized by The International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM), Sri Lanka with the collaboration of Kulliyyah of Nursing, International Islamic University, Malaysia and North South University, Bangladesh under theme ““Revitalizing Resilience towards the Emergence of Healthy Communities”.
The opening remarks of 2017 were made by the Conference Convener Mr. Isanka P. Gamage (Co-Founder & Managing Director – The International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM), Sri Lanka) and Conference Professor Dr. Wong Li Ping (University of Malaya, Malaysia)
The speech representing the Hosting Partner was given by Assistant Professor Dr. Mohd Said Nurumal (Dean – Kulliyyah of Nursing, International Islamic University, Malaysia)
The keynote forum was consisted with two keynote speeches. The first keynote speech on “Global Environmental Changes and Health” was delivered by Dr. Nasrin Agha Mohammadi (University of Malaya, Malaysia)
The second keynote speech on was delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Siti Noorkhairina Sowtali (International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Malaysia)
Global Public Health conference provided a solid platform for around 40 researchers, stake holders and policy makers from across the globe representing around 10 countries to share their research findings with one another and to discuss the policy implications in Global Public Health. The conference provided a refreshing experience for all, especially for the young researchers who had the opportunity to share their research findings on an international platform.
The conference comprised of 05 technical sessions and a poster session during which researchers from around the world presented their research findings. The technical sessions as follow.
